Questions, answered with care
What is Nothelwa?
Nothelwa is a South African digital estate and legacy management platform. It helps you organise, securely store and manage important information about your estate, will, insurance policies, beneficiaries, assets, liabilities and essential contacts — with human concierge support when you need it.
Who is Nothelwa for?
Anyone who wants their affairs in order: individuals, couples, parents, and families who want to reduce the administrative burden on their loved ones.
Is Nothelwa a law firm?
No. Nothelwa is an organisation and support platform. We do not provide legal, financial, tax or insurance advice, and we are not a substitute for qualified professional advice.
Does Nothelwa replace a will?
No. Nothelwa helps you record where your will is kept and what it contains, but a legally valid will must still be drafted, signed and witnessed with a qualified professional.
Can I store important documents?
Yes. Your private document vault stores wills, policies, deeds and other documents securely, with categories, review dates and notes.
Can my family access my information?
Only if you choose. Family access is invitation-based with defined access levels (Full, Limited or Emergency). There is no unrestricted sharing.
Can Nothelwa help with an estate after someone dies?
Yes. Our concierge service can guide families through estate administration, insurance claims and finding important information during a difficult time.
Is my information secure?
Nothelwa is designed with privacy and controlled access at its core — your information is private to your account, and only people you explicitly choose can see it. We never sell your data.
Where is my information stored?
Your data is stored in a secure, professionally managed cloud database with encryption at rest and in transit. Nothelwa is built with POPIA principles in mind.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. You can cancel at any time. You'll be able to export your information before you go — it belongs to you.
Nothelwa is not a substitute for professional legal, financial, tax or insurance advice. Always consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.
